It’s great to join the WORLDHOTELS family again for their annual conference. Last year we were with them in Hamburg and this year, it’s the charming city of Madrid. A few hundred hoteliers from the member hotels of WORLDHOTELS attended and it was like a huge reunion seeing many familiar faces and catching up with old friends.

Our LiveStudios team drove up to Kuala Lumpur to cover the asian leg of the WORLDHOTELS conference. Last year was held in Shanghai. This year, the One World Hotel at One Utama in Petaling Jaya played the graceful host for the conference.

Some of the participants penned down their messages to share with the others.

The hotel did a great job in creating some fantastic settings which shared some of the local customs to the participants. The hotel ballroom and foyer area was very nice and great for photography.

We printed photocards with a semi translucent base. It turned out really nice and the guests had a great time posing and collecting the photocards.

The dinner on the 2nd night was held at the Palace of the Golden Horses.. a really grand place. They ended up the night with a nice fireworks treat

We had to drive overnight back to singapore as we had an early shoot the next morning. It was a really tiring but nevertheless fun 2 days.

The Singapore Marriott launched a club for the welfare of their staff. They affectionately call it Club B2 and we have to admit it’s quite something to be jealous about.

It’s got not one game console but 2 of the hottest game consoles in the market; the Sony Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii. 2 OSIM iDesire Massage chairs. A comfortable TV lounge, sleeping rooms, a nicely designed cafe, locker room with rain showers etc.. Wow..

They got us to do the full service including photocard printing for the staff and media guests as well as our digital guestbook. Here’s the owner, Mr Tang having his hands on the guestbook.

Yasmin from Gold 90.5fm did a live broadcast from Club B2. There was a news article on Straits Times as well.

We set one camera on colour and one on black and white to get candid shots.

Held at Furama City Centre Hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to find a newly renovated ballroom and foyer, great light panels that makes photography easy and great projectors too! 

They had new powerful projectors too which makes the photos stunning

They had their try at our new Digital Guestbook This one is more sensitive, larger writing area, and can handle many fanciful styles !!

For 3 years in a row, I’ve been shooting what in my opinion is the most educational, interactive and fun conference. Wired as it used to be call is now “Web in Travel”. The 2 day conference brought about a host of experts and industry veterans.

Remember the old Bar None?? In it’s place is a new poshly designed club called B:One. We did the photocard printing and the digital guestbook for the people invited to the opening party.

It’s nice to see such moving weddings when a couple spends so much effort and heart into their wedding. The chinese character (en) translates to “gratitude” or “thanksgiving”.

Their speech has almost moved me to tears and they prepared a video and a special thank you presentation to mention special groups of friends who have played an important role in their lives.

Guests as usual had a good time writing their well-wishes on the digital guestbook which was flashed up on the 2 screens at Pan Pacific Hotel and printed out onto 4R to be slotted into the album immediately.

In case anybody’s wondering what’s written.. it’s thai. The guy wrote first “she’s pretty” and she replied with “he’s handsome”.

It was great to catch up with Ms Lee Bee Wah, whom I used to work with as a volunteer.

It was a great setup and very different from the usual weddings we do. Kudos to the team from WeddingActs.. Great Job!

Congratulations to an old friend Geslyn who used to work with me when I was the IT manager organising World Gourmet Summit 2003. They are such a perfect match

I love it when kids sign the digital guestbook. They write the most heartwarming messages. The lighted entrace to the Marriott ballroom makes a nice background for photos.

UBS bank held a really nice gathering & dinner at the Equinox.
Guests chatted and chilled as the sun set over the singapore skyline.

Everyone had a lot of fun signing the guestbook for each other.

When someone from the event industry holds a wedding, I hold high expectations for it as it’s the couple’s profession in the first place to organise events.. Adrian and Joan didn’t disappoint at all 

Adrian being the romantic proposed before on the DHL balloon and they had their solemnisation on it too.

There were many surprises that happened at the dinner @ The Fullerton Hotel.
Joan prepared an animation about their love story to surprise Adrian.
Adrian arranged pyrotechnics for the stage.. (Pyros for wedding?? lol.. only an event person would arrange for this)

And it was also Joan’s Birthday! 

They have also arranged for “A Little Dream” to perform and we’ve seen them lots of times.. last one was just 2 days ago at Kelvin & Dewi’s wedding at Four Seasons Hotel. Check out their blog entry!
