We’ve been so busy lately we didn’t have much chance to update our blog much. Our current shoot for SIA in the new Changi Terminal 3 and two trips overseas will be keeping us busy for the whole of January. Most of the live shoots now are handled by the senior photographers while I stay back in office to do D.I. work Working 20 hrs a day with shoots for SIA at wee hours in the morning.. I am tired.

However, it’s those touching stories of love I get to experience during weddings that keeps me motivated and keeping people happy on the most important day of their life assures me that I’m doing something meaningful. Peter and Adriene is one of these couples. 2 successful lawyers, the bride with a strong passion for dance and the groom with such love that goes out of his way besides his busy schedule to make his bride happy. Their speeches during the dinner moved me to tears. I’m just glad I’ve got a camera in front of my face to hide them.

The best man’s father in law graciously insisted that they took one of his prized cars, the Rolls Royce as their bridal car.

The church solemnisation was done in OLPS. Adriene was such a natural in flipping the dress.. must be the dance training she had

The sisters were dressed up in white with pink ribbons ..

It’s the 3rd time in a week we’ve been shooting at The Ritz Carlton.
The couple opted for chief and senior photographer and cards with lamination.

The ballroom was nicely done up with petals lining the ailse huge table centrepieces.

The two screens in the ballroom was the centre of attraction projecting the photos taken on the spot.

The foyer area was also a popular spot for photography when couples would come out and take home a nice momento for themselves.

The Singapore Marriott launched a club for the welfare of their staff. They affectionately call it Club B2 and we have to admit it’s quite something to be jealous about.

It’s got not one game console but 2 of the hottest game consoles in the market; the Sony Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii. 2 OSIM iDesire Massage chairs. A comfortable TV lounge, sleeping rooms, a nicely designed cafe, locker room with rain showers etc.. Wow..

They got us to do the full service including photocard printing for the staff and media guests as well as our digital guestbook. Here’s the owner, Mr Tang having his hands on the guestbook.

The staff and guests had their hands on the guestbook as well.

Yasmin from Gold 90.5fm did a live broadcast from Club B2. There was a news article on Straits Times as well.

We set one camera on colour and one on black and white to get candid shots.

Guess opted for black & white photocard prints in line with their branding.

They look great and everyone went crazy picking off their photos which we stuck on a huge photowall.

I usually don’t do much post processing of photos.. Had some time between the 1st and 2nd March in to do some quick processing. This one is just a simple conversion into black & white.

I tried a lomo conversion on this one. Lomographic photos have characteristics of interesting colour shifts, darkened sides, brighter center and are more colour saturated.

Congratulations to an old friend Geslyn who used to work with me when I was the IT manager organising World Gourmet Summit 2003. They are such a perfect match

I love it when kids sign the digital guestbook. They write the most heartwarming messages. The lighted entrace to the Marriott ballroom makes a nice background for photos.

While shooting for a Mont Blanc store event at Paragon, I scheduled an interview for Lianhe Wanbao who was doing a feature on events management with photography as a highlight for entertainment.

Interestingly, she came across a quote where minister Lim Swee Say said
“What impressed me was not the technology, what impressed me I tell you frankly.
I’ve never looked so handsome in my life”

When she asked “Did he really say this?” I showed her a video on our PSP which he talked about our services during the SISEU 25th Anniversary and we took a photo of him showing his photo on stage.

That night, it looked like almost half the ballroom came out to have their photos taken..

The reporter happened to be meeting Minister Lim the next morning and said she would mention this video, and how she had enjoyed his candid humour.
